This paper presents a brief overview about suspension structure applied to bridges and buildings in the world. Application of suspension structure to a high-rise building in Hanoi is also investigated by ACH Building Consultants. The paper reliably demonstrates that the suspension structure is economical solution to long span structures including high-rise buildings. The application of this structural system allows an elegant architectural design.
